LAUNCH Festival Speaker Line-Up: March 2-4, Fort Mason, SF

We’ve got an amazing line-up of founders and investors for the LAUNCH Festival this year and I wanted to share some of the crazy, awesome projects we’ll be showing and discussing:

HYPERLOOP

How would you like to get from New York to California in 45 minutes? How about shipping containers full of electronics from Chinese factories to the port of Long Beach in two hours — instead of 14 days, and partly across an absurdly polluted frontier? Hyperloop is bringing us closer to that dream, thanks to co-founders Shervin Pishevar and Brogan BamBrogan.

SELL YOUR HOME IN AN HOUR

Keith Rabois has a fascinating new real estate startup, Opendoor, that will buy your home on the spot — truly a groundbreaking concept to create a fluid market for homes (which are one of the slowest assets you can move). He just raised $20 million in a new round of funding.

FREE COLLEGE

One of the legendary investors in Silicon Valley, George Zachary (CRV), and I will sit down and talk with one of the legendary creators in technology, Sebastian Thrun, who brought us Google Glass and now the surging Udacity (where anyone can take a course from Intro to Data Analysis, to Deep Learning, to Advanced Android App Development — for free).

STAR TREK’S REPLICATOR

3D printing has had a couple of stops and starts in its decade-long trek, but Joseph DeSimone’s Carbon3D promises to change all that. It’s basically the next big step to us all having a replicator from Star Trek, in my mind.

THE END OF STARBUCKS

A new startup from my incubator will debut that will replace Starbucks with robots. I’m not kidding, it’s insane.

THE NEST OF CLEAN WATER

Many of us have a Nest or Dropcam to keep us and our families warm and safe, but how many of us are getting alerts on our phone to tell us about the quality of our water? Well, a new startup is launching on March 2nd that will do just that.

BUILD & DESIGN THE BEST

You might now have heard of Adi Tatarko and her startup Houzz, which has gone from a community-based project to share design inspiration and connect homeowners with architects and designers to a juggernaut of a marketplace for everything around your home. They’ve raised over $200 million to date, with more than 35 million monthly unique users around the world.

SKILL OR CHANCE – WHO DECIDES?

The courts can barely keep up with the powerful players of daily fantasy sports. But FanDuel co-founder and ceo Nigel Eccles built this unicorn to last, leading the charge in a multi-billion dollar industry.

STARTUPS IN SPACE

Will Marshall, former NASA scientist & co-founder of Planet Labs, has seen the earth in whole new ways — by launching 100+ satellites in orbit and gathering invaluable data for agriculture, energy, intelligence, and more. A pioneer in the entrepreneurial space race.

And just a few more of the 100+ speakers across three stages of content we’ll feature on March 2-4 at Fort Mason in San Francisco:

Aileen Lee, Cowboy Ventures

Chamath Palihapitiya, SocialCapital

Jeff Glueck, Foursquare

Sam Shank, HotelTonight

Dave McClure, 500Startups

Joel Spolsky, Stack Overflow

Adam Nash, Wealthfront

Clara Benner, Tumml

Gil Penchinaflight.vc

Hunter Walk, Homebrew

Jed Katz, Javelin Venture Partners

Sandy Carter, IBM

Emily Kirsch, Powerhouse

Peter Rojas, betaworks

Marco Zappacosta, Thumbtack

There are still tickets left! You can purchase Founder, Festival, Festival Plus–or a Super VIP ticket, which also grants you access to the Angel Summit (March 1st) and all four dinners. Get tickets here.

Best,

@jason
