Mediawiki, the software that powers Wikipedia and many other wikis, is updating the “Talk” pages to have “liquid threads.” The liquid threads basically group the discussions and automatically add signatures. Basically, it’s gonna make the really ugly Talk pages on Wikipedia (where much of the action goes down) look readable like 99% of message boards in the world.
This is basically a fix that bring MediaWiki up to par with everything else out there–however, given Wikipedia’s size/scale it is gonna really, really help.
