- I’m crushed… my favorite restaurant reviewer GothamGal has panned one of my favorite chefs, Morimoto.
- EFF has their DearAOL.com domain caught in our spam filter–everyone goes mad. Our tech team fixes it within 24 hours–AOL, Google, and Yahoo do this every day when our spam filters pick up a false positive. The other option is to take down spam filters all together… but users like spam filters, even though they make mistakes. It’s not a freedom of speech issue if we make a mistake–it’s a mistake and we fix it. Now, if we left someone’s site in spam bucket after they proved it wasn’t that would be wrong. However, you wouldn’t last long as an email provider if you did that–users would leave!
- An interesting test on GMAIL’s false positives
- EFF is having a debate about Goodmail with Esther and Mitch on Thursday… I’m definitely going to attend, and I’m going to ping them on being on the panel.
