Howard Stern started working on his website a couple of months ago and it is getting a ton of traffic thanks to message boards. Now he’s launched really expensive ($4.95 a show), uncensored versions of his E! TV show on the site.
Of course, at these insane prices people will start putting these on bit torrent in a couple of dayslike they do with audio versions of his show!
If Howard were smart he would leave radio at the end of this contract and sell his show to XM radio with the condition that he have web rights. He would then charge $5 or $10 a month for access to his archives of both the TV and radio show. I’m sure 500,000 to 1m people would sign up making Howard $60-120m a year with almost no costs.
