I’m not going to make the NYC edition of RES Fest (I’ll check out the LA stop)-but I highly recommend you go. The short digital films can be hit of miss, but the hits are definatly worth sitting through some of the experimental stuff. I’ve been going to RESFEST (in SF, NYC or LA) for years and I wouldn’t miss it for the world.
So, stop yourself from seeing the latest garbage from Hollywood and expand your mind with some innovative stuff. Great event to take a date or a group of friends too as well, since there is something for everyone and the crowd is very cool.
The folks who run it are very chill and don’t run a hard door and make you feel excludedthey are all about building a community. So expect some cool parties as well. Ask for Jonathan Wells and tell him I sent ya.
Anway, I love this festival and I hope you take the time to go see it.
