upgrade the studio furniture though.
response for @parislemon on "why i still have a Facebook account"
in techcrunch (really) for still having a Facebook account. my
response below http://techcrunch.com/2010/10/07/calacanis-facebook/ MG, What a waste of a post. Isn’t there a startup more deserving of this space on techcrunch–or
are you guys just trying to hit me every chance you get? Silly. Sad. Stupid. Here is an explanation for you, which will be in the JasonNation.com
newsletter when i do 100 days off Facebook missive. 1. I had to reactivate my account because some services out there that
i need to look at (think companies I’m investing in, Unvarnished, etc)
ONLY allow you to login with Facebook. 2. I disconnected everything from posting there, but sometimes I will
use something old (like i did with qik.com) and discover it’s
connected for syndication. 3. I removed all my stuff and exist as a “facebook ghost.” Lesson learned: Facebook connect is so pervasive you can’t operate on
lot of new services without a FB account. Now get back to work doing something intelligent MG…. I expect more
from you.
Email I sent to Zuckerberg & Sheryl over "FORCE JOIN" Groups on Facebook
This company is trusted with 500 people’s data (and growing)?

Subject: You might want to fix this.
To: zuck@facebook.com, Sheryl Sandberg Team Facebook, Seems as if anyone can add anyone to a Facebook Group. There is no “opt in.” In this case someone added Mike Arrington and I to the “NABLA” group
on Facebook. I know I’m not a member of NAMBLA, and I’m going to guess
that Mike isn’t either.
http://www.facebook.com/home.php?sk=group_162298770463078&ap=1 I’ve now been assigned to a group that advocates… well…. ummm….
you can look it up–it’s very bad. Also troubling: 1. I was never asked to join the NABLA group
2. I was never informed that I was “force-joined” to the NABLA group. If you guys want to run these new features by me before you launch
them, I can probably save you from a couple of privacy law suits each
year.
