I like fresh fruit too. I especially like organic fresh fruit but its not free and its not cheaper than canned fruit. I can imagine that kind of distortion at whole foods or something but not in most grocery stores. Fresh fruit is healthier, tastier... all kinds of wonderful features. Plus, it's perishable, requires washing, and or cutting. some people are just lazy.
