Unlike the Tiger commercial where he is exploiting his mistakes as well as his dead father to promote the Nike brand (and I believe, engender sympathy), Bristol is using her mistake in an attempt to deter teen pregnancy. So what's so disturbing? I'm not going to presume to know your rationale, but my guess is that intolerance for her mother is what drives most criticism of Bristol's commercial. I guess I don’t get why this commercial is so disturbing.
