Looks like AOL is going to spin off the dialup business, and it’s been stated that they are putting all the valuable assets into Avenue A, an advertising platform they will spin out.
What’s left of “AOL” after that? AIM, AOL email, some content sites…. does that mean that AOL is going to go away as a brand? Feels that way.
