Andrew Keen…

I’m listening to Andrew Keen’s Google talk. He’s a controversial guy, and he is certainly poking people for a response, but I have to say he’s main points are EXACTLY what I’ve come to learn.

Things that he said that are correct:

1. Sites like Reddit and digg-type sites are too eash to game. CORRECT.
2. The line between advertising and content is being blurred by web 2.0 and that is a bad thing. CORRECT.
3. Payment systems for artists are important and if they don’t have them they will find a way to get them. CORRECT.
4. People are increasingly insulting each other. CORRECT.

Do I love Wikipedia, digg, reddit,

Toro, a bulldog

Hello. My name is Jason.
I'm the CEO of Mahalo.com, a human powered search engine. I was previously the co-founder of Weblogs, Inc. with Brian Alvey, and the GM of Netscape.

I'm currently on the board of social shopping site ThisNext. You might remember me from my days as editor and CEO of the Silicon Alley Reporter magazine.

Mike Arrington and I partnered on the TechCrunch40 event in September. We're going to do it again next year.

This is my blog, this is where I live. You should also listen to my podcast.
