In response to Scott’s open letter.

Dear Scott,

This is my *personal* blog where I talk about my life. Now, most of time that means I’ll be blogging about things like media, finance, and technology–the things you love–but I reserve the right to post about my personal life and things that maybe, well, you don’t love. Things like my big fat gut.

If you can’t support your friend in getting fit then you can go ahead and unsubscribe–I can live with that. Just because you’re lucky enough to have the figure of Kate Moss (i.e. 130 pounds when you’re soaking wet) doesn’t mean you can ignore that fact that I’m having a crisis right now (i.e. I’m 36, overweight, and depressed about it).
