A catch phrase will go here soon.

Google adds videos ads…

1/25/2007

… in your dreams!!! Or at least in this guys mockup. I love the widescreen concept below, and I’d love to get a full-screen advertisement like this provided a) it wasn’t auto-launched and b) it collapsed after 5 seconds.

As I said earlier, I think the days of Google going light and not pushing their products hard are coming to an end. Google has very aggressive targets to meet, shareholders who paid top dollar for their stock, and huge expectations. They are going to have to really start pushing their services and maximizing revenue at some point, and promoting Google Checkout with a $10 coupon on the home page was just the start in my mind.

… and I’m 100% cool with it. Frankly I think Google doesn’t have enough advertising in their products.

Hello, my name is Jason. Welcome to my blog on the interwebs. You can reach me on twitter @jason and by email at jason@calacanis.com. My Skype is jasoncalacanis, and my mobile phone is 310-456-4900.

I only pick up numbers I recognize, and in terms of emailing me, the best strategy is to write short, blunt and to the point requests. I can quickly respond to short messages, and many times I simply don't have the time to read five page pitches. In terms of taking meetings, I only do that after reviewing an actual product (not a business plan). So, the best time to ping me is when you have mockups or an alpha site. I don't read business plans, and I've never written one.
