The Raping of Nanking

This is one of the hardest books you could read… half way through it. Very important, highly recommend it.

Wikipedia has more on the Nanjing massacre. Sadly, the author Iris Chang committed suicide in Los Gatos in November of 2004. She was working on her next book on the Bataan Death March.

Heavy stuff. Makes our little world, and the debates we have seem so small and insignificant. Perspective is so important in life. Despite the strife we live in, our generation has had lead a charmed life–we should be thankful.
