A catch phrase will go here soon.

Shocking and sad.

The videos are shocking. The loss of life is horrible.

How could it take us four days to get people water?! Our response to this is shocking shameful. How is it possible that we can’t get get people basic aid?! I hope people keep this event in mind the next time we vote. Leadership is top down as we all know. Our country is seriously lacking in top-down leadership. Why does our president always take two or three days to address an emergency (think: 9/11)? Why is his response always filled with excuses? I’m really upset about our response to this, and I’m sure many of you are to.

Two of our bloggers were displaced and are in need of work, so we’re getting them more work blogging for the network. It’s a little thing, but it’s the least we can do.

The 120+ bloggers at Weblogs, Inc. are donating money as a group and Weblogs, Inc. corporate is going to match what our bloggers donate. I’m sure all of the good people who read this blog are donating as well I know I don’t need to ask you guys to support the people who are suffering right now.

Is there anything else we should be doing? I’m thinking after the food, water and shelter are taken care of over the next couple of days people are going to need support.

Hello, my name is Jason. Welcome to my blog on the interwebs. You can reach me on twitter @jason and by email at jason@calacanis.com. My Skype is jasoncalacanis, and my mobile phone is 310-456-4900.

I only pick up numbers I recognize, and in terms of emailing me, the best strategy is to write short, blunt and to the point requests. I can quickly respond to short messages, and many times I simply don't have the time to read five page pitches. In terms of taking meetings, I only do that after reviewing an actual product (not a business plan). So, the best time to ping me is when you have mockups or an alpha site. I don't read business plans, and I've never written one.
